  • What ages does Cyber Divers serve?

    Our programs are built for elementary students, roughly 2nd through 5th grade, ages 7 to 11. We focus on these grades deliberately: it is the last stretch where an academic gap is measured in months rather than years, and where consistent adult attention can realistically close it.

  • Where in Philadelphia do you run programs?

    We primarily serve Northwest Philadelphia: Germantown, West Oak Lane, and Mount Airy. Our community cleanups work the high-traffic corridors between those neighborhoods.

  • Do families have to pay for your programs?

    No. Programs are free to the families we serve. That is funded by donations and by bulk puzzle purchases from schools and organizations.

  • Is Cyber Divers a registered nonprofit?

    Yes. Cyber Divers Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization registered in Pennsylvania, EIN 84-3787165, based in Philadelphia. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

  • Can I buy your 3D puzzles for my classroom?

    Yes. Puzzles are available individually or as classroom sets in bulk at a reduced per-unit rate. Teachers, afterschool providers, homeschool groups, and families can all order. Every set purchased helps fund a set given away.

  • How can my university or college partner with you?

    We host service-learning placements and practicum hours for students in education, engineering, computer science, social work, public health, and kinesiology, and we collaborate with faculty on program design and evaluation. We look for recurring commitments across a term rather than one-day volunteer events.

  • Can you bring a program to my school or rec center?

    Yes. If you run a cohort of elementary-age children in Northwest Philadelphia, we can run the program at your site, train your staff to run it, or supply the puzzles and let you take it from there. We ask for a consistent room, a consistent day, and a staff contact who knows the children by name.

  • How do I volunteer?

    Community cleanups are open to volunteers over 18, and we supply the equipment. We also place recurring facilitators in our puzzle labs, which is where consistent volunteers make the most difference. Campus service groups, congregations, neighborhood associations, and corporate teams are all welcome.

  • What is the Mount Airy Grizzleys?

    The Mount Airy Grizzleys is our intramural elementary soccer club, launching now at the recreation center in Northwest Philadelphia for 20 to 30 players in grades 2 through 5. There is no registration fee and equipment is provided. The bear is the mascot of the neighborhood school we serve.

  • Do you offer swimming lessons?

    Not yet. A free water-safety and swim program for Northwest Philadelphia elementary students is in development. We are looking for pool partners with weekly lane availability, certified Water Safety Instructors, and funding to keep it free for families.

  • How can I donate, and where does the money go?

    You can give online, by check, or by bank transfer, and many employers will match your gift. The largest costs in programs like ours are consistently trained adult time, materials, and transportation. Transportation is the one donors overlook and families name constantly: it is often the difference between a child attending every week and attending twice.
